Video Deep Dive:
Yay! I finally found a video to explain what I call the “bestie share”, and this video went above and beyond in portraying it.
The "bestie share" is when a viewer sees a video and is reminded by their best friend. This could be from really small things, for instance, A friend might have mentioned something over a previous dinner and when a viewer sees a video that touches on the same subject, they become reminded of the friend and decide to tag them.
The “bestie share” could also take place in videos like this where there are two women featured and what is being done in the video can be recreated. A lot of the time you see the “bestie share/tag” in photo idea/pose type of videos where they would like to re-create an image with their best friend so they tag them furthering the reach of the post.
This video also started a relatable conversation beyond the “bestie share”, where one user related the item in the video to be like the animated portraits in the "Harry Potter" movie! A lot of people understood this reference, the comment that mentioned this got 17K likes!
The sound of this video was also perfect in retention and delivery. “Boyfriends and girlfriends are gonna come and go but this is for life”, matched perfectly with the image of the two girls in the photo who seemed to be best friends!
The creator also increased retention in the video by only showing the moving picture toward the end.
Lastly, no one would ever guess that the video is promoting the frame since they never mentioned anything about it being for sale. They just presented the product in a compelling way that started a conversation that was relatable and shareable.
